Toastmasters in Edinburgh

Welcome to Toastmasters in Edinburgh

Toastmasters International (TMI) is the world's largest training organisation for public speaking and leadership development. We have two clubs in Edinburgh:

Capital Communicators in the New Town which meets alternate Tuesdays. Read about our meetings or see the calendar.
Waverley Communicators in the Old Town which meets alternate Thursdays. Visit their website here: www.waverleycommunicators.org

Between the two clubs, there is a meeting every single week of the year, with normally between 12 and 30 attendees.

The Edinburgh TMI clubs run a Speakers' Bureau which offers experienced, enthusiastic speakers for local business club and community-based meetings.

Our meetings

Conquer your nerves and improve your presentations by getting you up on your feet and speaking in public. We offer cost-effective self-help training in a supportive and encouraging environment. The meetings are structured to maximise speaking opportunities and offer practise in both making prepared speeches and 'thinking  on your feet' with helpful feedback.

Membership

Toastmasters clubs are open to anyone, and many professional entertainers and speakers started at a TMI club. We have members from all walks of life and ages in Edinburgh. The emphasis is on tolerance, learning and encouragement, so everyone wants to come back and perform again.

We have a mentoring programme to get you started and excellent training materials to allow you to gain presentation and leadership qualifications that are recognised worldwide. You can try us out free of charge and come to three meetings before joining.
